A will for the basics. A trust for probate-free, protected transfers.

Each packet's guide walks you through the choice — and all documents are included with the trust.

Last Will & Testament

The basics — guardians & gifts
  • Name who cares for your children
  • Decide who receives your assets
  • Most affordable plan
  • Goes into effect after you're gone
A will does not avoid probate — but it is the essential first step for every family.
Choose when: your estate is straightforward, or you have minor children.

Revocable Living Trust

Control & probate avoidance
  • Keep full control — amend, revoke, change beneficiaries
  • Avoid probate — assets pass directly to your heirs
  • Manage your affairs if you become incapacitated
  • Contains all will documents
Because you keep control, a revocable trust offers no protection from your own creditors.
Choose when: you own a home or significant assets and want to skip probate.

Irrevocable Living Trust

Protection & tax planning
  • Assets removed from your estate — shielded from creditors
  • Reduces estate tax exposure
  • Supports long-term care / Medicaid planning
  • Locks in current values and gift-tax exemptions
The trade-off: you surrender control. Terms are fixed once signed — that is what makes the shield hold.
Choose when: creditor protection or estate-tax planning is the goal.

Common questions

Is this legal advice?
The packets are educational products with state-specific documents. Please feel free to hire a licensed local attorney in your state should you have any specific or extremely complex legal requirements. The full explanation lives in our Terms & Disclaimer.
What does the membership include?
The $29/month membership keeps your plan current: one document update per month, questions answered via email, and alerts when your state's statutes change so you can have your documents updated if needed. Cancel anytime.
Do I need a will AND a trust?
The trust packet includes the will documents — the trust avoids probate, and the will catches anything not yet transferred into it. Most families benefit from both.
How does the will get signed?
A will is valid when signed by you in the presence of two credible witnesses, who also sign — the packet's guide covers your state's specific rules. It includes the attestation block and an optional self-proving affidavit for easier probate.
Which trust do I need — revocable or irrevocable?
The guide walks through both in plain language. In short: choose revocable for control and probate avoidance; choose irrevocable when creditor protection or estate-tax planning is the goal. Many plans use both.
Do you prepare the trust for me?
Yes — that's the Done-For-You plan ($999). You provide your details, we prepare the complete document set and coordinate the steps, and you sign. Prefer to do it yourself? The DIY packet ($129) comes with a step-by-step guide and red-marked fill-ins, and the $99 phone session is there if you get stuck.
Is the packet specific to my state?
Yes — each packet is built for the state named on it, and every citation is checked against that state's official statute text.
What is your refund policy?
Digital goods carry a 30-day guarantee — full details in the Terms & Disclaimer.
Do I need a lawyer to use the DIY packet?
No — the packet is designed for completion without one. If your situation involves litigation, creditors, or complex assets, we recommend the $99 phone consultation or your own counsel.
